We now know the luckiest turkey in Michigan.
Governor Gretchen Whitmer has issued her annual Thanksgiving turkey pardon, revealing Aidan Cluckinson will be spared. The name was submitted by a young girl from South Lyon.
The governor says many of the thousands of submissions for turkey names were Lions-themed.
“Aidan Cluckinson was selected from 4,486 submissions by Michiganders of all ages from all regions of our state,” Whitmer said. “The people spoke loud and clear this year. There were a lot of Lions themes. The team is really firing people up across the state.”
The governor pardoned Dolly Pardon last year. She pardoned Mitch E. Gander in 2022.
