The Berrien County Prosecutor’s Office is charging 60-year-old David Mabry of Stevensville with open murder in the shooting death of a 57-year-old Baroda Township woman on Sunday. Mabry knew the victim and shot her just after 2 p.m. Michigan State Police Lieutenant Duwayne Robinson tells our partners at WSBT-22 they got a call after that.
“The suspect had left the scene and they quickly went into search mode, trying to find and arrest the suspect, in which they did after a very, very short search.”
The suspect was disarmed by her husband in a fight before he drove off and was later arrested by Michigan State Police troopers. Her name has not been released.
