The South Haven City Council has voted to table a vote on food trucks. There were just four members in attendance at last night’s meeting as they discussed Option 1 that includes food truck parks or Option 2 with no food truck parks to be sent to the Planning Commission. “What staff is looking for is very specific direction to send to the Planning Commission, because I think part of the confusion we’ve seen is this was a topic that was brought before the City Council, you all sent it to the Planning Commission with pretty broad guidelines.”
Councilmember Steve Schlack said he would not be in favor of the food truck park in the central business district. The issue will be brought back up at a later meeting.
