Don’t let RSV spoil your holiday. That’s the advice today from ER doctor Whitney Minnick at Corewell, formerly known as Beaumont Hospital. Minnick says RSV cases are declining, and while the disease can be dangerous in the very young, there has to be a balance.

“Everybody kind of wants to talk about RSV and how we need to stay inside and avoid others, but at the same time, that takes a toll on our mental health and I think it’s really important to stay connected with each other. I think if folks are sick, they should exercise caution during that time.”

The number of cases of RSV at all Corewell facilities including in southwest Michigan is now nearly half of the high of almost 600 at the beginning of the month.
