1881 The Barnum & Bailey Circus was formed when P.T. Barnum combined his circus with the Cooper and Bailey Circus. It was initially named “P.T. Barnum’s Greatest Show on Earth”, later changing the name to “Barnum & Bailey’s Circus”.

1979 –The most serious accident in the history of the American commercial nuclear power generating industry occurred on March 28, 1979, at the Three Mile Island Nuclear Power Plant in Pennsylvania. While the situation was contained and no deaths occurred, it raised serious concerns about nuclear energy safety and regulation.

2005 – YouTube was Founded: While it officially launched in February, YouTube was incorporated on March 28, 2005. It has since become the go-to platform for video sharing, transforming how people consume and create media.

Music History:

1975 – At an Elvis Presley concert at the Hilton in Las Vegas, Barbra Streisand went backstage and offered Elvis the lead role in her upcoming film A Star Is Born. Elvis was interested, but on the advice of his manager Colonel Parker, he demanded too much money and top billing. Kris Kristofferson was chosen for the role instead.
