1969 Major Nelson and Jeannie got married, on the TV show I Dream of Jeannie. Only one problem, NASA wants photos of the wedding, but genies don’t photograph. However, the writers seem to have forgotten that she was shown photographed in other episodes… Oops!
1983 Michael Jackson’s Thriller video premiered on MTV. It was MTV’s first world-premiere video and is considered the most influential pop video of all time.

In 1978, Neil Diamond and Barbra Streisand’s “You Don’t Bring Me Flowers” landed at No.1 on the Billboard Hot 100. The song has a unique history that began when each artist individually recorded the song. As a gag, an engineer at a Louisville, KY radio station spliced together each version, creating a duet. The result was so successful, however, that the station added it to their regular rotation.
