There was a massive cocaine bust on I-94 in Berrien County this week.

The Berrien County Sheriff’s Department says it stopped a semi near mile marker 34 on Monday after getting a tip about narcotics travelling through the area.

A search of the Freightliner tractor-trailer turned up 123 pounds of cocaine. The sheriff’s department says that’s about 50 kilograms with a street value of about $1.5 million.

The driver of the semi, 22-year-old Sukhraj Singh of Canada was arrested and taken to the Berrien County Jail.

The sheriff’s department says it was assisted in the stop by Michigan State Police.
