Suspect at large in multiple victim stabbing in Cass County

The Cass County Sheriff’s office reports three people suffered non-lethal stab wounds dealt by an individual assailant last night. Investigators believe this is a “focused incident” and there is no related threat to the community.

Cass County Sheriff Richard Behnke reports that on Thursday night at approximately 10:40 pm, deputies responded to reports of a stabbing that happened in the 32000 block of School Street in Silver Creek Township. 

When they arrived, deputies say they found three injured victims who had sustained multiple stab wounds from a single perpetrator. Two of the victims were a man and woman in their 70s. The third was a 31 year old male. Two of the victims were transported for medical treatment. 

Law enforcement reports the assailant fled the scene prior to deputies arriving and remains at large.

The Cass County Sheriff’s Office believes this is a focused incident and there is no threat to the community. The investigation is ongoing and the names of those involved are not being released by law enforcement. No description of the perpetrator was released.
