The St. Joseph Memorial Day Parade will be next Friday.
St. Joseph Today says the event, sponsored by Lest We Forget, will start at noon and will proceed along Lake Boulevard from Park Street to Port Street in downtown St. Joseph.
St. Joe Today is asking all veterans and any active duty military to consider joining the parade. Any veterans who want to take part can call the St. Joe Today office or fill out a form online.
Immediately following the parade, there will be a short memorial ceremony held at the Howard Bandshell.
St. Joseph Today notes the Lake Boulevard Resurfacing Project is scheduled to end around Memorial Day weekend. It believes Lake Boulevard will be available for the parade, but in the event that it’s not, the parade route will be moved to State Street.
