If you’re looking for things to do this winter, officials in Gaylord say come visit them.
Paul Beachnau is the director of the Gaylord Convention and Tourism Bureau and says you can ski, snowshoe, snowmobile and even go winter rafting in Gaylord.
“It’s a guided rafting trip on the Sturgeon River,” Beachnau said. “We have two outdoor outfitters that provide the guide and the raft. It’s about an hour and a half float, and it’s absolutely amazing.”
Beachnau says the winter rafting is safe. He says Treetops resort also has a number of activities, including extreme tubing and sleigh rides and dog sled rides on select weekends.
