Two people are hospitalized at South Bend Memorial Hospital after they were injured in a Thursday afternoon crash on M-62 near Harris Street in Cass County. Sheriff’s deputies say 16-year-old Calvin Andrews was turning into a driveway on M-62 while going north and did not see oncoming traffic. His vehicle was hit by 20-year-old Samantha McCollough as she was southbound. She and 43-year-old Keliy Andrews were both taken by ambulance to the hospital, and the sheriff’s office has not given their conditions. Andrews was a passenger in Calvin Andrews’ vehicle. Deputies say seat belts were used by everyone, and drugs and alcohol don’t appear to be factors in the crash, which happened around 4:30 p.m.
