The boil water advisory for Lincoln Township, Royalton Township, and part of St. Joseph Township has been lifted. The city of St. Joseph has released the following:
“The Boil Water Advisory issued for portions of the St. Joseph water system on July 29, 2023, is lifted immediately. Water quality testing confirmed that drinking water in the system meets state standards.
Water from the public drinking water system may be used for all purposes. Customers in the previously affected area–including Lincoln Charter Township (including the Village of Stevensville), Royalton Township, and St. Joseph Charter Township west of the St. Joseph River (including the Village of Shoreham)—should flush their lines by running faucets for several minutes to ensure fresh water is in their lines.
The boil water advisory was issued due to a loss of pressure in parts of the system resulting from a water main break on Marquette Woods Road near Hickory Creek. We are sorry for the inconvenience to our customers, and appreciate their understanding and patience.
