Whirlpool will welcome girls from schools all over Berrien County to Lake Michigan College next week for a technology camp. It says Camp Infinity is being held in partnership with the Michigan Council of Women in Technology. It’s intended to introduce girls in grades five through eight to computer and internet technologies via hands-on activities. Whirlpool held similar events this school year, but they were all for one day only, while next week’s camp will be all week. Campers will have an opportunity to meet with professional women and men who work in tech and explore tech careers. They’ll do HTML and CSS website design exercises. Whirlpool CIO Dani Brown will address them Monday.
