Governor Gretchen Whitmer has announced an art contest for the 2023 State of the State program cover. The governor is calling on Michigan’s K-12 students to come up with a creative design for the program cover following the theme of “What makes Michigan strong?” The contest comes ahead of Whitmer’s State of the State, planned for January 25. Her office says students can use crayon, marker, paint or any other material for the art contest to express the theme, and the winner will get a gift box from Cherry Republic. Submissions will be accepted through the end of January 15 and can be submitted online.
