1994 The first Smart phone was released. It was called: IBM’s “Simon Personal Communicator,” and combined a mobile phone and PDA allowing the user to make and receive calls, facsimiles, emails and pages. It also included a calendar, address book, notepad, maps, stocks, and news.
Music History:
1977 Elvis was found dead on the floor of his bathroom. His death has been attributed to a possible combination of an enlarged heart and prescription drugs. Barry Scott and Ronnie McDowell remember Elvis on today’s Lost 45.
