 1933 Pilot Wiley Post completed the first solo global airplane flight.

1934 John Dillinger, the bank robber noted for his daring prison escapes, was reportedly killed outside a Chicago movie house by FBI agents. However, the autopsy, witnessed by more than 40 doctors, had several notable discrepancies: The wrong eye color, height, weight, and no mention of certain known scars. The corpse also had teeth that Dillinger was known to be missing.

1991 Police arrested cannibal serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer after finding human body parts in his Milwaukee apartment.
